last night as i lay in bed, i heard the train whistle. it was kinda rainy, and the smoke was coming out the chimney on the house across the road, adn it just felt like a perfect winter night. if there were snow on the ground it would be perfection and not just perfect :)
thanksgiving is come and gone - crazy - i know! this year, has just past in a flurry (no pun intended) of life. and i must say, i've pretty much enjoyed every moment.
so thanksgiving day was last week, but i'd still like to make my thankful for/because of list:
  • Curt - who has made this last year an adventure unlinke any other
  • family - the people that make thanksgiving a fun holiday.
-the people that you eat thanksgiving food with.
-the people who make me who i am
  • my little house - a place to call "ours" in the area we wanted
  • neices & nephews - who make me marvel at the innocence of children
  • friends - who have been a constant amazement to me in the past year
  • healing - no more physical therapy! :)
  • my gracious forgiving Heavenly Father & all the little blessing He sends my way each day

did you make a difference in your world today?

And life continues at breakneck speed!
Painting the house
Cleaning the house
Sewing
Planning
Scheming
And dreaming
Wedding this past weekend, then camping with church, home for a reunion for sunday dinner, and double birthday parties in the evening, plus getting hit with a lovely cotton-head, runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezifying, sinus congestion-ation thing. yup, i'm having lots of fun :) dont have to answer any phones today, cause my meds take my voice away.
but, its only monday, things will get better as the week goes on....i'm counting on it.

i went shopping last night with my brother.
he's 6 years younger than me, and 3 inches taller.
we both needed shoes.
we both found shoes after much looking.
both of our shoes were on sale.
we then shared a cinnabon & a mocha latte chill.
he even put up with me talking to him in a British accent most of the evening.
it was fun.
no matter how much he denies it, i think he's gonna miss me once i move out.

so i had a wonderful weekend at the mountians, there was deer, there was camfires, there was games, there was laughter, there was happy day clouds (puffy white ones) - it was great. i get home after a 4 1/2 hours of driving in the back seat of a maxi van,  come home hungry & exhausted, and there are no vehicles in the driveway, no house keys on me. talk about a sinking feeling!
i called mom - her & dad are in hanover but she thought maybe conrad would be home
i call the house phone & try the door. the door is locked, and the house phone just rings.
i turn to head down the walk, contemplating my next move. & i hear the door open behind me.
i turn around, and there stands curt, smiling from ear to ear. i think my mouth dropped open.
that had to be the best surprise of the weekend!
i went inside, had some food, drank some milk ( the first since before i left friday morning!) and had a relaxing, wonderful evening.

Do you know what i hate? sunburn red & purplish are not my favorite skin colors
do you know what else i hate? sun poisoning (not sure if thats what i had, but i'm leaning that way)
nothing like a good burn to make you feel like a kid again. mom combs me, puts on my socks & shoes....
i told her the next time i go to the beach i'm wearing a burka
this is not fun.

did you ever dream you were dreaming?

last night i fell asleep on the sofa, & i must have really been sleeping good too, cause i was dreaming
that i was dreaming. - i'm not sure that ever
happened to me before!
in my dreams dream, it was my wedding day.....
and it was a disaster! i had forgotten to print
the programs, the service started and hour late, there
was a blizzard, and we tried to take pictures outside
in snow up to our waist's, so then my biggest
thing was that i had gotten snow in my shoes.
i had forgotten to tell the singers which songs
i wanted sung where, and they sang "God is Great,
& God is Good" at the reception, then they kept
singing more songs & more songs, & we still hadn't
eaten. ppl started falling asleep so we served
them coffee.....
when i woke up in my dream, i was so relieved
that i had been dreaming, & i started making a checklist
of things to do. one of the things was to take
heaters along to melt the snow to take pictures......
then i woke up for real.
my dreams are weird.
